Sogno di una biennale di fine estate (1982)

Text by Alberto Ongaro

Drawings by Hugo Pratt

Spin-off composed of 26 strips and a final illustration published in the newspaper “La Repubblica” of 28th August 1982 (two daily strips).

Invited to the Venice International Film Festival of that year, the two Authors prepare this “divertissement” which sees Rasputin dealing with two unsavoury characters to undermine the organisation of the Festival. Rasputin asks Corto Maltese for help, but he's not interested in that cahoots. Rasputin operates alone in stealing the films but is later befuddled by the two unsavoury characters. The Festival Organisation engages Lauren Bacall and the spirit of Humphrey Bogart, who set Rasputin free and recover the lost films.
